Piston Ring Installation Instructions
Select the illustration that corresponds to the ring set
Install in order as illustrated.
If an expander is with set, install the expander with oil ring (bottom)
NOTE: Some chrome oil rings are (3) piece. This is not an expander, it is the center section as in illustrations 3&4. The correct method of installation is to place the center section into the oil groove first. Then place the top part on from the top and the bottom part on from the bottom.
NOTE: Check end gap clearance in cylinder before installing. Grinding may be necessary on some rings.
